The wine is made to be full bodied and intense, it has well developed tannins with strong aromas of dark berry and plum that leads to a clear finish.

This Estate has a stunning Cellar Door. It was made from the recycled beams of the old store when it was converted into the cellar. Its recognizable arc was crafted by the owner’s own hand as he built it on the cellar floor to fit exactly. This inspired shape looked great so the door shape became a theme and was then extended to all of the buildings. The wine blend presented in this bottle carries his signature of approval.

Vinification
The wine in these bottles is made from the 2016 harvest. All the varietals were made separately. The grapes were destemmed and fermented on the skins for 5 days in open tanks with regular punch downs. After this it was bag pressed and malolactic fermentation took place in steel tanks. The blend ratio is selected by Mauritz Koster – the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of the Estate as this wine carries his signature of approval.

Food Notes
The wine is good with red meats and traditional foods like bobotie. - Open 20min before serving - Best served between 18-22 deg C

Maturation
This blend was barrel matured in new French Oak barrels for 48 months. The wines were then blended and bottled in 2020. It is ready to drink.
